Erica and Alex first met while attending Saint Anselm College. In 2017, Erica, a junior at the time, was preparing for her study abroad program in Sydney, Australia. Alex, a senior, had studied abroad in Sydney the semester before, and the study abroad department suggested that Erica reach out to him to learn more about his experience.

After learning more about who he was—and finding him pretty cute—Erica had a mutual friend introduce her to Alex in the courtyard at Saint A’s. It was there that they officially met for the first time and talked about his study abroad experience in Sydney. And that was that.

Years later, in 2020, their paths re-crossed at Planet Fitness in downtown Boston. Despite the world being in the midst of a pandemic, Alex asked Erica out on a sushi date later that summer—though, of course, they had to wear masks while they dined. But it didn’t stop them from getting to know each other. They quickly realized they shared a love for skiing, sushi, all things Italian, and travel. They also discovered a shared value of family—both come from tight-knit, big families and cherish the strong connections they have with them.

Four years later, in 2024, Alex proposed in New York City—one of Erica’s favorite places, and the place she once called home, growing up on Long Island. He popped the question beside the Brooklyn Bridge during Christmas time, and they celebrated afterward at a very special restaurant to Erica, The River Café.

A story nearly seven years in the making... and they are overjoyed to celebrate their marriage and the beginning of their lives together with their closest friends and family.
